Who am I? "Karen" means "pure, oath of God", "Elizabeth" means "House of Help" and "Stober" doesn`t mean a thing. "Stober" is the most common name in Germany. What "Smith" is in the USA, "Stober" is in Germany. I've even seen an ad from Germany of a sale for Stobers only. I hugged this little girl at Koala Park in Sydney, Australia, August 2000. When I was in New Zealand the week before Australia, I bungy jumped 142 feet. I am an AFAA Certified aerobics instructor. I teach an aerobic firming and toning class, aerobics and step aerobics. I have a Bachelor Of Arts degree, with major in Fine Arts, from Fairleigh Dickinson University , Madison, NJ campus. My second degree is an Associate Of Applied Science, Computer Programmer option, from Raritan Valley Community College, formerly known as Somerset County College. My favorite books are JRR Tokien`s "The Hobbit" and "The Lord Of The Rings". My Middle Earth illustrations are on my Welcome To Middle Earth pages. In August of 2005, I donned a Guardian Of The Citadel uniform. It was at the 50th Anniversary Of The Lord Of The Rings Conference, run by the Tolkien Society in Birmingham, England. I was the Silver Trumpet of Gondor, heralding the opening of the conference. I played a fanfare specially composed by Robert Gans of Maine, "Dawn At The Gates Of Gondor". My favorite movie is "Star Wars". My favorite Star Trek movie is "Star Trek II - The Wrath Of Khan". My favorite author is Andre Norton. My favorite artist is Michaelangelo. “But Keptin, it IS the Enterprize!” This is me in October of 2005 at the Smithsonian Museum Of Air and Space in Washington, DC. My very favorite piece in the entire museum, is Naval Constitution Class 1701, the Classic Enterprise model from the classic Star Trek TV series. This is the actual model used for all those closeups and planet fly-bys. The model designer had a boat with a registration number of 1701. Hence, the 1701 number of all Enterprises. The model was donated to the museum in 1974. It has been moved several times. It is now in the basement toy store. I live at home with my Dad, Frederick, and three frisky feline friends in fur. The girls are a common Tabby, Spanky, and a Norwegian Forest, Samantha. The little boy is Inky, also called Binky, a Bombay.

I have large memorabilia collections of Star Trek, and two rock bands, Yes, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. ELP is long gone but Yes is occasionally active. I own stock in Exxon Mobil, Harley-Davidson, and a number of other companies.

I love the heat of chile peppers. A hotluck is a potluck dinner thrown by Chileheads. Everything is spicy hot, even the beer and wine. The official Chilehead list is at The Chilehead List Homepages. I was the person who threw the hotluck on Food TV's program, "Eat The Heat". I am only briefly seen in the background for a few seconds. My favorite color is bright pink. I have a lot of unique hats. I do a little gardening, too. In addition to practicing my trumpet for at least an hour and a half every day and working out for an hour five times a week, I enjoy embroidery, crewel, which is painting with thread, cross-country and downhill skiing, and at least a dozen more things to do. I am an English Hunt Seat equestrianne. I walk, trot, canter and jump horses at Lord Stirling Stables in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. That is me in the photograph, cantering Jack Daniels, at the Seaton Hackney Stables, in Morristown, New Jersey. I do not own a horse - yet. I am a lifetime pheresis donor of blood plasma and platelets. Plasma is the clear component of your blood. It is full of antibodies and good stuff, especially for burn and chemotherapy patients. I also donate platelets, which is a component of the red part of blood. I donate frequently. My blood type is AB+. I encourage everybody to donate. In the Winter 1997 issue of Jon Anderson`s Opio Foundation Internationale newsletter are printed quotes from an earlier survey of subscribers. What are my intuitive concepts or spiritual philosophy? On page 11, my philosophy is quoted: "A genuine wish to better myself through clarity of my words and actions, and the intensity to pursue my dreams. Opportunity is everywhere; I need to see clearly."
